Forgive this post, I’m having an OMG NEW STUFF buzz.

Pink present with ribbon

My housewarming present: a vanilla and lime blossom reed diffuser, from this Rebecca person. She’s pretty rad, and coincidentally has the same vanilla addiction. Welcome to my new life rule: always ask for free giftwrapping. It adds an omg-it’s-my-birthday!!-esque dimension to your already happiness-inducing shopping trips. Aww yesh.

Just My Type by Simon Garfield = ZOMG FONTS!!!!, so I couldn’t resist. It’s gorgeous, although says nothing on my favourite font, Cambria. The suspicious-looking book underneath it is related to that bizarre need to learn SCIEEEEEENCE, or rather, EVERYTHINGGGG. I can’t stand knowing that stupid numbers and diagrams can be understood by people who aren’t me. I MUST DEFEAT SCIENCE.

btw, I’m back in Dunedin again!

But I’m heading back to Wellington later this week to see AMANDA PALMER, cos I’m too gangsta to study for an exam. Leaving Wellington was heartbreaking (so yay, I get to do it twice in one week!), but Dunedin’s won me over with its familiarity and running into friends everywhere. I love you guys~! ♥

There are hipsters and everyone smokes, but cigarretes smell nice in Wellington – that’s how infatuated I am with this city! I’m equally fond of where I’ve been staying: Education House, which is owned by uStay. Sup, Google! ;D

desk and bed

Such an unwelcoming bed!

Not a positive start to the tour, but I chose to bring bedding with me, so I can hardly blame Education House~ It’s cold, and the travel-sized pillow is depressingly small/not snuggly enough. The heater behind it doesn’t appear work, either; it does gurgle and the light sometimes changes colours, but other than that it’s forever dormant! I hate how I can barely move without moving the blanket off the bed asldkjfsadlkfjdsl!! D:

As for the desk…

…You’ll notice that much like many others, this one has a flat surface upon which I can scatter all of my stuff around without it getting in my way when I’m on Facebook. It’s quite a useful feature! I think this is my favourite thing about desks.

(Note to self, buy snazzy fruit bowl + pretty tea cups.)

ensuite and kitchenette

I also have an ensuite bathroom, which is pretty rad.

Possibly the only thing I should mention is that I have vanilla bodywash, and it’s heavenly. You wish you could smell me right now. Mmmmm. NO WAIT, LOOK AT THIS HAND TOWEL.

Isn’t it precious? I had quite a successful Christmas.

The kitchenette is my favourite part of this room

Typical woman! lolz lolz lolz. There’s no proper oven to be found anywhere, so baking geeks would have to battle the microwave, but personally, I don’t caaare! But thank god there were plates and cutlery (which weren’t chopsticks, btw), saving me from having to buy my own.

I’d quite happily live in Room 508 permanently! It’s better than my room last year with its pathetic storage space (how can a room that size have been so useless?), but nonetheless, I’ll soon be abandoning it and Wellington, heading to an enormous, stale room in Dunedin. Watch out for a frazzled-but-sleepy hobbit, very very soon~!

I'm a mediocre law student at Otago and future cat lady. This is my blog thingy.
